Anhui Province’s Wan River Looks to become Cruise Haven

Anhui province plans to vigorously develop cruise tourism to its Wan River. The South Wan International Tourism Demonstration Area, located in Anhui, has been set as a pioneer area in the “Beautiful China” tourism program, and will focus on developing cruise travel along the Wan River. The government of Anhui province will not only work directly with leading cruise companies in China, but also strive to establish more trips from cruise companies to provide more capacity for the river cruising. Beyond building more ships, wharfs along the river will be renovated and scenic sites will be updated to meet the demand of this new cruise industry.
