Xiamen Airlines will launch its first trans-Pacific flight to the U.S. later this year, with services to Seattle. Beginning September 26, 2016, the airlines will operate three weekly flights from Xiamen, in Fujian province, to Seattle, via Shenzhen. The outbound services will depart Xiamen’s Gaoqi International Airport Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 0930 and arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 1025. The return flights depart Seattle at 1325 and arrive in Xiamen at 2125 the following day. Xiamen Airlines will deploy a 237-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet on the route, offering four seats in first class, 18 in business class and 215 in economy. Xiamen Airlines plans to continue the expansion next year, with new routes to New York and Los Angeles in 2017.
