American Airlines to Start Dallas to Shanghai Service

Beginning June 11, 2014, American Airlines will launch a new nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Shanghai (PVG), a first for any U.S. carrier. This nonstop route will complement American’s existing service from Los Angeles (LAX) and Chicago (ORD) to Shanghai. While the flight route starts in June, booking is available as of this month.

Daily flights will depart Dallas at 10:55am and arrive in Shanghai at 2:55pm the following day. Return flights depart PVG at 4:50pm and arrive in DFW at 6:10pm. The route will be operated on a Boeing 777-200, which includes First Class Flagship® Suite fully lie-flat seats, chef-inspired menu options paired with award-winning wines for First and Business Class, and in-flight entertainment available at every seat throughout the aircraft.
