The Palace Museum (Forbidden City)

Built in 1406, the Palace Museum was formerly known as the Forbidden City, and was the residence of emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. With more than 9,000 halls and rooms, the palace is the largest in the world,  it hosts important Chinese cultural relics, and is a world cultural heritage site.
