Beijing & Shanghai Named Top 25 World Destinations

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website, recently announced the winners of its 2014 Travelers’ Choice awards for destinations and Beijing and Shanghai were named to the list – making it not just to the top 25 destinations, but to the top 10 destinations overall. Hundreds of getaway locales were reviewed and rated, and these two Chinese cities were deemed among the world’s best, based on millions of traveler reviews and opinion on TripAdvisor. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account many variables gathered over a 12-month period.

Beijing jumped 17 spots to #4 in the world, with Shanghai climbing 12 places to #10. For the complete lists of winners from the 2014 Travelers’ Choice Destinations, as well as more information on these Chinese cities, go to: www.tripadvisor.com.
