A recent article on CNN focuses on the growing trend of tea aficionados traveling throughout the world in pursuit of the finest tea. “Tea tourism” as they call it, is a burgeoning phenomenon, but it seems it’s gaining popularity – and China is just the place for this kind of travel. The article, entitled “Tea lover’s guide to traveling in China,” describes tea tours where visitors can hike tea plantations, pick leaves and see production methods firsthand, then learn about and taste the different teas. Green, oolong and pu’er teas are highlighted, as well as places within China to experience tea travel for yourself.
