Ningxia Hui

Originating from the middle of the Yangtze River, along the “Silk Road”, Ningxia is a historical treasure trove. It was once an important route of transportation and trade between West and East China. Traces of human existence from as far back as 30,000 years ago have been found in the region. The Western Xia Dynasty was founded here in 1028 A.D. creating the vast Western Xia culture. Since it’s one of the areas where the Yellow River (the second longest river in Asia) flows through, it also boasts of the Yellow River Valley civilization.
