Qingdao International Beer Festival
This is the largest beer festival in Asia which takes place on the second weekend of August and lasts for 16 days. Activities include tasting and drinking beer, a parade, competing recreational and sports teams, trade exhibition, to name a few. Qingdao street and alleys are elaborately decorated for the festival, turning the city into a carnival of sorts.

China Qingdao Marine Festival
China Qingdao Marine Festival, sponsored by the State Oceanic Administration, Qingdao Municipal Government, and organized by Shinan People’s Government of Qingdao, it’s the only festival that has an ocean theme in China. The Qingdao Marine Festival, held in July every year since 1999, draws national and authoritative international forum on marine science, technology and economic development.  The festival displays another side of Qingdao – an industrial city of marine science and technology, transportation, and water sports.
