What to buy

Sanya has a wide variety of sea products that make wonderful souvenirs and gifts for friends and relatives. Some of these include ornaments and other handicrafts made of shells or trumpet shells. The vast seawater of Sanya has beautiful coral, some of it made into exquisite pieces and sold in local shops.

Where to buy

The local shopping centers are usually found near the scenic areas. In the city center, the main shopping districts are business streets such as Jiefang Road and Hongqi Street.

Jiefang Road
The longest street in Sanya, Jiefang Road offers shopping, dining, entertainment, tours, and hotel accommodations. A variety of department stores and supermarkets are also located here.

Hongqi Street
This street has two major shopping centers in Sanya, the First Market is the biggest free market of reasonably-priced agricultural products including seafood and local fruits. While Sanhe Business City located at the south end of Hongqi Street is a must for visitors looking to purchase local clothes and accessories.

Sanya Duty-free Shop
Sanya Duty-free Shop offer travelers’ currency exchange services and premium merchandise, including liquor, beer, and tobacco at great prices.
