Suzhou

Located in south of the Yangtze Delta, in the Jiangsu Province, Suzhou is with Shanghai to the East and Wuxi City to the west. About 42% of the city is made up of water, including a vast number of ponds and streams.

Taihu Lake, four fifths of which is in the territory of Suzhou, is one of the four largest freshwater lakes in China. The city is divvied up by the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal which runs through it from north to south. Suzhou’s mild weather makes it a great travel destination year-round.
