The Tianjin Binhai International Airport is the second largest airport in Northern China ranking only after the Capital International Airport in Beijing. Numerous domestic and international airlines fly in and out of the airport to Shanghai, Xian, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Seoul, among others.

Tianjin is an important railway hinge linking the Northeast, North, East, and South of China via several major railway lines. There are four important train stations in the city, including Tianji Railway Statiom, West Railway Station, North Railway Station, and South Railway Station. Travelers can easily take trains from these stations to more than 40 cities all over China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian, Hangzhou, Harbin, Jinan, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, and Nanjing among others.

The city has several subway lines and plans are underway to build 12 more lines which would cover the thirteen districts of the city. Taxis are also an efficient means of getting around. Tianjin has more than 30,000 taxis available at the airport, railway stations, hotels, coaches and minibuses.
