Yellow Crane Tower is the symbol of Wuhan City and is one of the most renowned towers south of the†Yangtze River. Inscriptions by famous poets and literati from ancient dynasties adorn the tower. A climb to the top nets a bird’s eye view of the entire city. East Lake Scenic Area the biggest tourist attraction in Wuhan and also the largest lake within a city in China, is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River†and in the east suburb of Wuchang. Because of its winding banks and crisscrossing ponds and brooks, it is called a lake with 99 bays.

Hubei Provincial Museum adjacent to East Lake, this museum is devoted to the collection, archaeology, research and display of 200,000 historical and revolutionary cultural relics from the region and beyond.
