Originating in China, Dragon Boat Festival was initially the festival in which people prayed for removing disease and preventing illness. Later, when patriotic poet Qu Yuan was said to die on this day, it became a traditional festival to remember Qu Yuan. Folk customs are held for memorizing the talented official of Chu State, Qu Yuan, who was famous for his patriotism and talents.

Dragon Boat Festival features folk customs such as eating Zongzi, dragon boat racing, and drinking realgar wine.
