First DoubleTree by Hilton Opens in Three Gorges Region

DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing-Wanzhou in China. The opening of the 22-story hotel becomes the first international full-service hotel in Wanzhou, which is located on the Yangtze River, on the upper reaches of the Three Gorges. The hotel is operated by Hilton Worldwide and owned by the Dalian Wanda Group.

Located close to the Yangtze River, DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing-Wanzhou features 253 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking surrounding river and mountains. The hotel will feature more than 1,700m² of conference and banqueting space – the largest in Wanzhou – including a 1,100m² ballroom and five meeting rooms.

The hotel also offers three diverse restaurants with options from Sichuan favorites to Western a la carte classics. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzi, 24-hour fitness centre and a beauty salon.
