Forbidden City Extends Hours for Summer and Goes Mobile

The Palace Museum in Beijing, also known as the Forbidden City, is rolling out additional offerings for visitors this summer. Now through August 24, summer hours will be in effect, allowing more time for visitors to enjoy this incredible attraction. Summer hours are from 8am-5pm, except on Mondays when it is closed for renovation and maintenance. In addition, several new apps are now being offered, with more to come, including a tour guide app for mobile devices featuring detailed information about the palace and providing directions, itineraries and more helpful information.
