China Garden Museum to Open its Doors May 18

The China Garden Museum, which has been under construction in the southern area of Beijing, will officially open its doors on May 18 to coincide with the opening day of the China International Garden Expo.

The museum is located in Fengtai district, in the southwestern region of Beijing, and will offer more than 4,000 exhibits showcasing classical, as well as modern, Chinese gardens. Along with the opening of the China Garden Museum – which is free to the public – the surrounding areas of the Fengtai district are also being redeveloped, with factories moving out and educational institutes, such as this museum, moving in.
