Hangzhou a New Hot Spot to Visit for History and Culture in China

Hangzhou: China Hot-Spot

Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang Province, has launched a new campaign to promote tourism to the area, and hopes to welcome Americans and Canadians.

More than 800 years ago, Marco Polo visited Hangzhou and declared it “the most splendid city in the world,” and the destination continues to live up to this reputation today. With seven World Heritage Sites, the start of the Grand Canal in China, many magnificent museums, and more than 5,000 years of rich culture for visitors to enjoy, Hangzhou is truly a splendid city and prime for North Americans to visit.
