Rosewood to Open Ultra-Luxury Hotel in Chongqing

Located on the banks of the Yangtze River, the historic city of Chongqing furthers Rosewood’s strategic expansion as it is not only the commercial centre and transportation hub for Southwest China, but the world’s second most populous city. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will open a new, ultra-luxury, 361-room hotel in Chongqing, China in 2015, in addition to its 279-room Rosewood Beijing in early 2014.

The 34-story Rosewood Chongqing will be located on the banks of the Yangtze River, in the historic city, which is the commercial center and transportation hub for Southwest China and the world’s second most populous city.

The hotel will feature a soaring atrium-like reception area, 331 guestrooms and 30 suites designed in residential style, a 31st-floor Manor Club executive lounge with outdoor terrace, as well as approximately 17,000 square feet of meeting space. Dining options and entertaining facilities include an all-day bistro, a two-floor Chinese restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant and a rooftop bar, and Rosewood’s signature spa brand – Sense® spa.

Rosewood Chongqing will be conveniently located in a mixed-use development comprising residences, retail and office space in Yubei District, a tourism destination renowned for its abundant natural scenery and attractions including Bijin Park, Jindaoxia scenic area and Bayu Folk Culture Village.
