Explore China’s ancient and modern cultures in this 12 day tour to Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. Historical highlights include the must see Great Wall and Terra Cotta Warriors. Then, explore cosmopolitan Shanghai to see a modern China.

Visit six of China’s most incredible cities in this 12 day journey through the Middle Kingdom. Begin your journey in the bustling town of Wuxi. There, you can visit the picturesque Liyuan Garden before continuing to the city of Suzhou. Also known as the “Venice of the East,” Suzhou is famous for its classical Chinese gardens. Afterwards, continue onto the city of Hangzhou, famous for its West Lake.

Beijing is China’s political and cultural capital. Highlights include the expansive Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, and the Olympic Stadium. A visit to the Great Wall of China, located a short bus ride from the city, is a must.

History continues when you arrive in Xian, where you will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. Created to protect the tomb of China’s first emperor, this massive army is still being excavated today. In addition to the Warriors, the trip to Xian also includes a visit to the Hanyangling Mausoleum, the largest museum in China and the most intact royal mausoleum from the Han Dynasty.

Last on the tour is a stay in Shanghai, China’s hypermodern and most cosmopolitan city. There you can visit the Old Town and the famous Bund.
